Once Upon a Time: What’s next for Rumple and Belle?
Posted by: Kris on August, 4th in Interviews & Articles, Once Upon a Time Updates

Will the Rumple and Belle relationship survive? It’s been one of the many burning questions ever since it was announced that Emilie de Ravin would not be returning as a series regular — while Robert Carlyle will — in the upcoming rebooted seventh season of Once Upon a Time.

OUAT fans definitely will get an answer as to what has happened to Belle, along with their child Gideon (Giles Matthey), when both return in the emotional fourth episode of the season. “Episode 4 is a Rumple-centric type episode that will explain to the audience quite a lot about their relationship — actually even from way, way back in the Fairy Tale Land as well,” Carlyle tells EW about the hour. “It follows the course of their relationship through the years and it explains… where she is now in terms of her life after Storybrooke.”

“The end of season 6 was truly a ‘happy beginning’ for Rumple and Belle and we’re excited to tell what we think is a deeply romantic story about where they go next as both a couple and as parents to Gideon,” executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis tease.

As previously revealed, Rumple is among those who come running when Henry (Andrew J. West) needs help, which is apparently why he ends up cursed in Seattle alongside Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Hook (Colin O’Donoghue). Details on Rumple’s cursed persona have been scarce, while it appears Hook is a cop and Regina may be a bartender. Carlyle is also staying mum on who his character is now, offering this small tease: “He is very, very different to Gold,” he says. “They come from the same place, but they’re very, very different people. At this point, it’s safe to say he’s a very, very different guy from Gold.”

Once Upon a Time will return Friday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Once Upon a Time First Look: Find Out Who’s Training the Dark Swan
Posted by: Kris on August, 11th in Interviews & Articles

once-upon-a-time

After the Darkness consumed her in the Once Upon a Time finale, Emma is going to have a little help in becoming the new Dark One, a.k.a. the Dark Swan.

EW has an exclusive first look photo from the upcoming season premiere, in which Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) appears to offer Emma (Jennifer Morrison) a hand in controlling her new powers. “If you’re going to be the Dark One, gotta learn from the best,” executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis coyly tease.

The real twist of the first look (seen in full below) lies with Rumple. The last we saw of his Storybrooke counterpart, Mr. Gold was put into a coma to save his life after the Darkness was expelled from his body. An answer may be found here.

The Telegraph’s Article on Robert Carlyle
Posted by: Kris on July, 18th in Interviews & Articles

Robert was recently interviewed by The Telegraph. He opened up about his childhood, his father who raised him after his mother deserted him when he was four years old, is directorial debut, and more.

Robert Carlyle is laughing at his reputation for playing nutters and sociopaths and men on the edge – although he is about to reprise a glorious example of one. It was announced last week that a long-rumoured sequel to Trainspotting, Danny Boyle’s iconic Nineties movie, will finally be made.

Carlyle will be back in Porno, as Begbie, the most violent and brutal member of a gang of Edinburgh heroin addicts that feature in both the Irvine Welsh books on which the films are based.

“Mind you,” Carlyle says, “although people always cite that role as an example of my dark side, I’m not so sure. Really, Trainspotting is a black comedy and in many ways Begbie’s the funniest one in it.”

Comedy and Carlyle are not, perhaps, synonymous, although, as he points out again, the role that brought him awards galore and international fame – Gaz, the leader of an unlikely pack of Northern male strippers in The Full Monty – was full of laughs, and Hamish Macbeth, in which he played a Scottish policeman, was drama and gentle comedy rolled into one.

Actor Robert Carlyle Backs Charity Appeal to Give Homeless Kids a Special Day
Posted by: Kris on December, 16th in Interviews & Articles

LITTLE Kayla Jamieson is one of 4000 children in Scotland who will wake on Christmas morning waiting for a permanent place
to live.

She lives with her mum Donna in temporary accommodation and won’t be expecting many presents on the big day but she does have one wish – somewhere to call home.

Homelessness takes a serious toll on children – on their education, their relationships as well as their physical and mental health.

It’s why actor Robert Carlyle is backing the Give It Up For Christmas, urging Scots to give up a treat and donate the value to disadvantaged children in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
